On Møn and Nyord there are particularly good opportunities to experience a starry night sky.

In 2017, part of Østmøn and the island of Nyord were certified as the Nordic region's first Dark Sky Park - a place where the light pollution of the night sky is minimal and the stars stand out more clearly. Under the right conditions in the winter months, you can, for example, see the Milky Way's luminous band with the naked eye.
